Introduction
Philipps Technical Consultants Corporation (PTCC) commenced operations in 1954 as the technical and engineering division of one of the pillars in construction industry in the Philippines, F.F. Cruz & Co., Inc. (FFCCI). It was incorporated on 19 January 1981, as an independent firm of technical consultants and has since grown with a staff of wide expertise and diversified experience, covering a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines.
PTCC is one of the few consulting firms in the Philippines who initiated to be ISO compliant, having been certified since year 2002 as Multi-Discipline Consulting Engineering Design and Development Services with Construction Management. On November 22, 2017, PTCC successfully achieved certification for ISO 9001:2015. Adopting this internationally accepted Quality Management Systems assures the quality of the processes used in the delivery of its services.
Organization
PTCC functions as an integral partner of each client in delivering projects, contributing its technical, multi- disciplinary expertise with the value-added benefits of teamwork. As an ISO-certified organization, a company-wide quality assurance is implemented and maintained throughout the project delivery process. The company is committed to maintain highly qualified professional specialists and support staff through continuous improvement in training and the adoption of the latest information technology tools and solutions. Its complete roster of professionals and support staff deliver a project from the conceptual stage to final turnover to client. PTCC is made up of staff with the required educational degrees, professional licenses and adept language communication skills in English and Filipino. At present, PTCC has around 86 highly trained engineers, architects, surveyors, geologists, hydrologists, economists, urban planners and policy specialists in regular, project-based and on-call employment.

The company maintains a roster of professional engineers, designers, project managers, and support staff capable of handling complex projects locally and internationally from planning, engineering, and construction management. PTCC is supported by staff and resources of associate firms including F.F. Cruz & Co., Inc. Survey Geomatics Division for aerial and ground surveys and Geotechnics Phils., Inc. for geotechnical and geophysical investigation. The survey division has expanded and upgraded its surveying and mapping capabilities by incorporating new technologies through the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) controlled digital aerial photography, high resolution aeronegative scanning, GPS and Total Station ground surveys, aeromagnetic survey digital photogrammetric mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The geotechnical services and geophysical investigations include seismic refraction surveys, Geo Electrical Resistivity Survey and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) imaging for underground facilities.
